It is found in Europe, where it has been recorded from Great Britain, Ireland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary and Russia. The habitat consists of coniferous woodlands.
