Marden Meadow is a stunning example of an unimproved hay meadow located in Kent, designated as one of the county's Coronation Meadows. This reserve showcases a classic English landscape, characterized by small fields, hedges, and multiple ponds, providing vital habitats for a diverse range of wildlife. It is particularly noted for its abundance of green-winged orchids in May and serves as a key donor site for local meadow restoration projects. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for a variety of species throughout the year, with peak sightings occurring in February, particularly around 01:00, when birds such as yellowhammers and common buzzards are most active. June is an excellent time to spot turtle doves and banded demoiselles, while the winter months bring blackbirds to the forefront. The reserve's rich flora and fauna make it a rewarding destination for nature lovers at any time of year.
