This hidden gem is home to a variety of wildflowers, including bluebells and broad-leaved helleborine, and is bordered by mature hedgerows of hawthorn and blackthorn. The reserve is actively managed to enhance biodiversity, with efforts to restore its historic orchard and promote the growth of native flora. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for a range of species at Kitty's Orchard, particularly in the peak months of May, June, and October. Notable sightings include the polycentropus flavomaculatus and various damselflies, with activity peaking around 01:00. Visitors may also spot the elusive Grass Snake in June and the Green Woodpecker in December, making this reserve a year-round destination for nature lovers.
