Hunt Cliff

Hunt Cliff

UK Wildlife Trusts

Hunt Cliff, located on the Yorkshire Coast between Saltburn and Skinningrove, features a striking maritime cliff edge with sloping grassland. This area is part of the Cleveland Way long-distance path and offers stunning views, although access is limited due to steep paths and restricted areas. The reserve is not equipped with facilities, so visitors should plan accordingly, with the nearest toilets available at Saltburn seafront. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to the clamorous calls of kittiwakes during the summer months, as these birds return from February and remain until August. For those interested in other species, September is a notable month for sightings, particularly for the Eurasian Skylark and Greenish Warbler, both best observed at dusk. Additionally, November offers opportunities to spot the European Goldfinch and Common Snipe around mid-afternoon.
