Graffham Common Nature Reserve features a mix of pine plantation and ancient wet and dry heaths, complemented by a picturesque acid pond. Located on either side of the Graffham/Selham road, this reserve is the newest addition to the Trust, acquired in 2009 and 2010. Once part of Graffham and Selham Commons, it boasts a rich history and aims to restore its former glory as a designated SSSI, showcasing beautiful heathers and rare wet heath plants. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for species such as the Wood Lark and Grey Heron, with peak sightings occurring in January. March is an excellent time to observe Moorhens and Mistle Thrushes, while summer visitors may spot Blue-tailed Damselflies and Black-tailed Skimmers in August. The reserve is free to visit, making it an accessible destination for those interested in experiencing its tranquil beauty and diverse wildlife.
