Deer's Leap Wood is a charming nature reserve located in the West Midlands, England, managed by the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country. This Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation (SLINC) features a diverse habitat that includes informal woodland, a pond, boundary brook, and meadow areas. The site has historical significance, tracing back to Medieval times and once part of the Rotton Park estate, while also being protected under a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of species, particularly in April when activity peaks, especially around 01:00. Notable sightings include the Wren, Blackbird, and 7-spot Ladybird, all of which are best observed during this month. Other species such as the Woodpigeon and Robin can also be spotted in their respective peak months, making Deer's Leap Wood an engaging destination for nature lovers throughout the year.
