Crews Hill Wood is a charming ancient woodland located in Worcestershire, featuring a mix of oak, ash, beech, and rare species such as wild service and hornbeam. The reserve includes an 8m circular Woods & Wildlife Walk, complemented by a surfaced track and muddy paths, making it an engaging destination for nature enthusiasts. The Worcestershire Way also runs through the reserve, offering visitors a chance to explore its diverse habitats. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to spotting a variety of species, particularly in July when butterflies like the Large White and Meadow Brown are most active. April is a great time to observe the Dock Bug and Buzzard, while the Silver-washed Fritillary peaks in August. For the best experience, visit around 01:00, when many species are at their peak activity. The rich flora and fauna promise delightful discoveries throughout the year.
