Comley Quarry is a significant geological site located in the UK, renowned for being the discovery location of Britain's earliest trilobites in the 1880s. This small yet remarkable site serves as an international reference for Cambrian rocks, attracting geologists from around the world. While the reserve has limited wildlife, it is ecologically important due to the presence of Dormice, indicated by food signs. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot various species at Comley Quarry, with the best time for observations being in April. During this month, look out for Lesser Celandine, Wild Strawberry, and Wood Forget-me-not, all peaking around 01:00. Other notable species include the White-throated Dipper, which peaks in December, making this a unique spot for both geological and limited wildlife exploration.
