Two SWT reserves make up the Cheddar Complex; Long Wood and Velvet Bottom. The complex offers a chance to explore the desolate beauty of the Mendip Hills. The remote landscape is fractured with traditional stone walls and offers panoramic views across the Levels and Moors. The area is famous for its caving and the spectacular Cheddar Gorge which runs close to the reserves.
