Chafford Gorges Nature Discovery Park spans 200 acres of diverse habitats, including lakes, meadows, and woodlands, providing a rich environment for both wildlife and recreation. Located near Chafford Hundred railway station, the park offers stunning views over Warren Gorge. Although the nature discovery centre is currently closed to the public, visitors can still explore the network of pathways while enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to observing a variety of species throughout the year, with notable peaks in sightings during specific months. January is particularly fruitful, showcasing species like Shoveler and Wigeon, while October offers opportunities to see Blackbirds and Greylag Geese. For the best experience, early morning visits around midnight are recommended, especially for Pochard and other waterfowl.
