Chaceley Meadow is a 1.8-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest located in Gloucestershire, just half a mile west of the River Severn. This unimproved neutral grassland, encircled by mature hedges and white willow pollards, is celebrated for its diverse wildflower population and rich birdlife. Designated as a Key Wildlife Site, it occasionally experiences winter flooding, creating an ideal habitat for various flora and fauna. Visitors to Chaceley Meadow can look forward to observing a variety of wildlife, particularly in May when activity peaks. Notable species include the Curlew, Sand Martin, and the rare Epistrophe eligans, all of which are best spotted around 01:00. The vibrant spring and summer months also bring an abundance of butterflies, enhancing the reserve's ecological charm.
