Catherton Common is a captivating nature reserve located between Cleehill and Cleobury Mortimer in Shropshire, England. It is home to a variety of birds, including skylarks, linnets, and stonechats, as well as rare plants and insects, making it a vital ecological site. For wildlife enthusiasts, May is the best month to visit, with peak activity around 01:00, particularly for stonechats. While sightings data is limited, keep an eye out for the water-purslane in September and redwings in December, both of which also show specific peak times. The diverse flora and fauna, including rare dragonflies and unique plant species, make Catherton Common a rewarding destination for nature lovers year-round.
