Broadmoor Wood is an ancient woodland located within the National Trust’s Chadwich Estate, leased to Worcestershire Wildlife Trust. This dynamic habitat features a mix of coppiced trees, including oak, ash, and birch, and showcases a rich ground flora that evolves with the seasons. Visitors can enjoy vibrant displays of woodland flowers such as bluebells and wood anemone in spring, alongside marshy areas that host a variety of water plants and wildlife. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for species like the Carrion Crow and Moorhen, with peak sightings occurring in September and January, respectively. Muntjac deer are also present, particularly noted in March. The best times for observation are generally around 01:00, making early morning visits particularly rewarding for those hoping to catch a glimpse of the diverse fauna that inhabits this serene woodland.
