Brimley Hill Mire is a unique spring-line mire nestled in the Blackdown Hills, surrounded by lush woodland. This small yet diverse reserve showcases an impressive array of wetland plant communities, including Bog Pondweed, Bog Pimpernel, and various species of Sphagnum mosses. The reserve's varied habitats also feature a fringe of Birch and Rowan woodland, providing a rich environment for ferns and other flora, making it a designated site of ecological interest. In summer, visitors can expect to see a vibrant display of flowers and numerous dragonflies and damselflies flitting over the small pools. Notable species include Keeled Skimmer and Southern Hawker, which thrive in the warm months. The reserve is also home to mammals such as Badger and Roe deer, adding to the rich tapestry of wildlife that can be observed throughout the year.
