Brentmoor Heath & Folly Bog is a diverse nature reserve located in the north-eastern corner of a significant block of lowland heath in Surrey. This area features a mix of wet and dry heathland habitats, alongside woodland, acid grassland, and ponds. The site is managed by the Trust and is split between the MOD, Surrey County Council, and Surrey Heath Borough Council. Notable flora includes ling, sundews, cotton-grass, and cross-leaved heather, while reptiles such as grass snakes and adders thrive here. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to spotting various species throughout the year, with February being the best month for sightings, particularly for blackbirds. The peak activity time for many species is around 01:00, making early morning visits particularly rewarding. Other notable species include the Gorse Bark Beetle in May, the Silver-studded Blue in June, and the Gatekeeper in August, each offering unique opportunities for observation.
