Breagle Glen & Cronk Aash is a small woodland nature reserve situated in an urban area, featuring a stream, recently planted trees, and remnants of an old garden and orchard. This tranquil site provides a vital green space for both wildlife and visitors, making it an important local habitat. Visitors can expect to see a variety of familiar birds year-round, including blackbirds, robins, and goldfinches, with peak sightings in December and May. The best time for observation is around 01:00, when activity is notably high. Additionally, the reserve is home to species like the Speckled Wood butterfly, which peaks in August, and the 7-spot Ladybird, best seen in March.
