Boynes Coppice and Meadows is a diverse nature reserve located within the Severn and Avon Vales Landscape Area in Worcestershire. This site features a rich array of habitats, including meadows abundant in vascular plants such as green-winged orchids and adder’s-tongue ferns. Designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the area is managed to enhance its flora and fauna, promoting a landscape-scale approach to wildlife conservation. Visitors can expect to see a variety of butterflies, with notable species including the Meadow Brown and Speckled Wood peaking in August and April, respectively. The best times to observe these butterflies are around 1:00 PM. Birdwatchers may spot Blue Tits in February, while other species like the Brimstone butterfly can be seen in May. Overall, spring and summer months offer the richest wildlife experiences at Boynes Coppice and Meadows.
