The reserve includes three distinct woodland areas: Bowdown, Bomb Site, and Baynes, each offering unique habitats for exploration throughout the year. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of species, with notable sightings including the Wood Lark, which peaks in April, particularly around dusk. Other highlights include Red Kites in February and Blue Tits in October. For those keen on birdwatching, April emerges as the best month for overall activity, making it an ideal time to visit Bowdown Woods and experience its rich biodiversity.
