Boddington Meadow is a 2.3-hectare nature reserve located east of Upper Boddington in Northamptonshire, managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. This traditional meadow has never been ploughed, allowing it to retain a rich diversity of wildflowers and insects, including notable species such as great burnet and pepper-saxifrage. As a Coronation Meadow, it plays a role in the conservation of wildflower seeds for other meadows. Visitors can expect to see a variety of wildlife throughout the year, with January being the peak month for bird sightings, including Pied Wagtails and Mute Swans. Spring brings Kestrels in April, while summer showcases butterflies like the Large White and Gatekeeper. The best times to observe these species are typically around midnight for winter birds and early morning for summer butterflies.
