Biddulph Grange Country Park is a picturesque site located on a hillside, featuring a blend of landscaped views and natural habitats. The park includes a large lake and boathouse from 1903, as well as a hydroelectric scheme dating back to 1904. With restored paths and new trails, visitors can easily explore the meadows, parkland, and woodland, making it an accessible destination for all. Birdwatchers will appreciate the variety of woodland species, including great spotted woodpeckers, jays, and chiffchaffs. Notable sightings include buzzards peaking in January and moorhens in December, with the best observation times around midnight. Spring visitors may also spot moles, particularly in April. The park's stunning trees provide a vibrant display of autumn colours, making it a delightful year-round destination.
