Bere Copse Nature Reserve is a serene ancient woodland located on the eastern edges of the River Meon valley. This Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) features a diverse canopy primarily composed of oak and small leaf lime, alongside other broadleaved species such as wild service tree and hazel. The deer-fenced area allows for the flourishing of lower storey plants, making it a vital habitat for various woodland species. Visitors can look forward to spotting a range of wildlife, particularly in March when activity peaks, especially around 01:00. Notable species include the Buff-tailed Bumblebee and Blackbird, while May offers sightings of Red-tailed Bumblebee and Speckled Wood. The reserve's rich flora and fauna provide a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts throughout the seasons.
