Barrow Haven Reedbed is a local nature reserve spanning over 12.7 hectares in Barrow-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire. This site, one of the most significant flooded former clay pits on the Humber Bank, features extensive reedbeds and open water, supporting a diverse range of habitats. The reserve is home to over 150 bird species, including notable breeders such as great crested grebe and bearded tit, making it a vital area for wildlife conservation. Visitors can expect to see a variety of birds throughout the year, with peak activity in June. Noteworthy sightings include marsh harrier in April and common greenshank in August, best observed at dusk. The reserve also attracts goldfinch and chiffchaff during their respective peak months, providing excellent opportunities for birdwatching enthusiasts.
