Banovallum House is a nature reserve and country park located between the Jubilee Way and the River Bain, featuring steep-sided valleys and streams. It serves as the headquarters for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and includes diverse habitats such as a wildlife garden, a walled garden, and approximately 200 meters of riverbank. The wildlife garden showcases various habitat types through raised beds, part of the LoveLincsPlants project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Visitors can expect to see a variety of garden birds, including common chaffinches, goldfinches, and blue tits, particularly active in January around midnight. Kingfishers are often spotted along the river, while other species like the snipe and kestrel also frequent the area during the winter months. For those interested in plant life, rough-stalked feather-moss peaks in May, making it an ideal time for a visit.
