Audrey's Meadow is a tranquil 2-hectare nature reserve located in Newbury, Berkshire, nestled between ancient woodland and the urban edge. This lowland meadow features a mix of grassland and woodland with ponds, providing a vital habitat for various species. Although it lacks formal conservation designations, it is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust to enhance biodiversity and promote the growth of wildflower species. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to observing a variety of birds throughout the year, with peak sightings in January, particularly for species like the Eurasian Blue Tit and Red Kite. Spring is an excellent time to visit for the vibrant display of ancient woodland plants, while March offers opportunities to spot the Wood Lark. With management efforts aimed at increasing wildflower diversity, visitors may also encounter butterflies and other pollinators during the summer months.
