Arle Grove is a 5-hectare ancient woodland located on the Cotswold Escarpment in Gloucestershire. Recognised as a Key Wildlife Site, this species-rich reserve features a diverse array of flora and fauna, including ancient woodland species such as yellow archangel, herb-Paris, and bluebells. The site, owned and managed by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, has been a nature reserve since 2009 and is currently closed for public safety due to recent high winds and ash dieback. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for a variety of species, with notable observations including Goldfinch and Redwing peaking in November, and Acorn Weevil, Soprano Pipistrelle, and other species peaking in March. The best times for sightings are around midnight for nocturnal species, making late-night visits particularly rewarding during these peak months.
