Abbey Green Park is a Local Nature Reserve located near the River Anker, featuring a variety of habitats including swampy channels, open water, scrub, and semi-improved grassland. Opened in partnership with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and Groundwork West Midlands, the reserve encourages outdoor activity with interactive mile trails designed for children. Footpaths and bridges weave through the park, providing access to its diverse ecosystems and promoting wildlife conservation. Wildlife enthusiasts can look out for species such as the Song Thrush and Eurasian Sparrowhawk, with peak activity noted in January, particularly around dusk. Other birds like the European Goldfinch and Coal Tit also show increased sightings during this time. For a chance to see a Goldcrest, visit in April when their activity peaks. The reserve offers a vibrant setting for both casual visitors and dedicated bird watchers.
