Possil Marsh is a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest located in Glasgow, Scotland. This area features a shallow freshwater loch surrounded by marsh, swamp, and fen, with patches of willow scrub and grassland. The reserve supports locally rare plants and serves as a crucial staging post for migratory warblers and waterfowl during spring and autumn, making it a vital habitat in the region. Visitors can expect to see a variety of wildlife throughout the year, with peak activity in January when species like the Robin, Eurasian Bullfinch, and Great Tit are most frequently observed. The best time for sightings is around midnight, particularly for these species. Additionally, Grey Herons are notable in June, while Black-headed Gulls peak in March, providing excellent opportunities for birdwatching at different times of the year.
