Fleecefaulds Meadow is a diverse habitat featuring species-rich grassland, fen meadow, and scrub woodland, located in a tranquil setting. This nature reserve is known for its vibrant summer wildflower displays, including globeflower, twayblade, and cowslip, which create an inviting environment for various butterfly species. The area is also home to brown hares and nesting warblers, contributing to its ecological significance. Wildlife enthusiasts can look out for pheasants, which are most frequently observed in January, particularly around 1:00 AM. March is an excellent time to spot song thrushes and roe deer, while red squirrels peak in September. Other notable sightings include common toads in May and goldfinches in June, with peak activity generally occurring around 1:00 AM throughout the year.
