Carron Glen is a scenic nature reserve located in a picturesque area, characterized by its diverse habitats that support a variety of wildlife. Currently, access to the western path is restricted due to a landslip, but visitors can still explore the eastern section by crossing the bridge and turning right. The reserve is known for its natural beauty and offers a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts. Wildlife highlights include the charming Red Squirrel, which peaks in activity during January, particularly around midnight. Other species to look out for include the Long-tailed Tit in June and the Eurasian Nuthatch at dusk in September. The best time to visit for overall wildlife activity is January, when the reserve comes alive with various species.
