Carlingnose Point is a Site of Special Scientific Interest located in North Queensferry, Fife, Scotland. This nature reserve features species-rich grassland and dense gorse scrub, providing a habitat for rare plants like dropwort and field gentian. The area is also home to nesting sites for various finches and warblers, while fulmars can often be seen soaring around the quarry cliffs. For wildlife enthusiasts, January is the best month to visit, with peak activity around midnight. Look out for Oystercatchers and Black-headed Gulls, both of which are commonly observed during this time. Other notable species include Reed Buntings and Redshanks, which also peak in January. November is another good time for sightings, particularly for Great Cormorants and Grey Squirrels.
