Balnaguard Glen is a Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve located near the village of Balnaguard in Perthshire. This area is renowned for its extensive juniper woodland, one of the largest in the region, providing a unique habitat for various wildlife. The reserve is characterized by its natural beauty and ecological significance, making it a valuable space for conservation and nature enthusiasts. Visitors can look for a variety of wildlife, particularly during June when activity peaks at dusk around 19:00. Notable species include the Common Wood-Pigeon and Ring-necked Pheasant, both best observed during this time. Additionally, Red Squirrels are prominent in March, while other species like the Swift and Alpine Bistort peak in July, also around 01:00. The diverse flora and fauna make Balnaguard Glen a rewarding destination for wildlife observation throughout the year.
