Valley Wetlands, located in Anglesey, Wales, is a nature reserve managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. This area features a mix of lakes and reedbeds, making it a vital habitat for a diverse range of wildlife. The reserve is designated as two Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) and is known for its rich biodiversity, including important breeding grounds for various wetland birds and unique plant species. Visitors to Valley Wetlands can expect to see a variety of birdlife, particularly in May when species like the Common Pochard, Great Crested Grebe, and Tufted Duck are most active, often peaking around 1:00 AM. Other notable sightings include Gadwalls in August and Greylag Geese in May. The reserve is also home to rare birds such as the Bittern and Marsh Harrier, making it an exciting destination for birdwatchers throughout the year.
