Labrador Bay is a stunning coastal reserve located near Shaldon, offering breathtaking views over Lyme Bay. The reserve features diverse habitats, including coastal cliff tops, woodland, scrub, and low-intensity arable and semi-improved grasslands. It plays a crucial role in protecting the Cirl Bunting, a rare bird primarily found in south Devon, and is also home to Peregrines, Buzzards, and Yellowhammers. The famous South West Coast Path runs through the area, making it accessible for walkers. Wildlife enthusiasts should visit in September to catch sight of the Cirl Bunting, which peaks around 14:00. Other notable sightings include Northern Gannets in March and Great Tits in May, with their peak activity times also around midday. Keep an eye out for various butterflies and bees in the meadows, as well as dolphins and Basking Sharks in the bay, enhancing the vibrant natural experience at Labrador Bay.
