Dingle Marshes is a 93-hectare wildlife reserve located on the North Sea coast of Suffolk, between Dunwich and Walberswick. This diverse habitat features freshwater reedbeds, shingle, coastal grazing marsh, and saline lagoons, making it part of the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve. Jointly owned by the RSPB and Suffolk Wildlife Trust, the reserve is also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Ramsar wetland site, highlighting its ecological importance. Visitors to Dingle Marshes can expect to see a variety of wildlife throughout the year, with peak sightings of Bearded Tits and Eurasian Bitterns in September. The best time for observing these species is around 14:00, while Barnacle Geese are most frequently spotted in July. Other notable species include Pied Avocets in February and Northern Pintails in January, with optimal viewing times varying throughout the day. The reserve is alive with activity, particularly in the summer months when singing warblers fill the air.
