Bempton Cliffs, located on the stunning Yorkshire coast, is renowned for its dramatic chalk cliffs and rich biodiversity. This RSPB reserve is a vital breeding ground for seabirds, hosting around half a million birds from March to August, making it one of the UK's premier wildlife spectacles. The reserve is part of the Flamborough headland, which is also covered by the Flamborough Bird Observatory, enhancing its significance for birdwatchers. Visitors can expect to see a variety of seabirds, including Puffins and Gannets, particularly between April and July when the cliffs are bustling with activity. The best time for sightings is around 16:00, especially for species like the Razorbill and Common Murre. In addition, Tree Sparrows can be observed year-round, peaking in September, while Short-eared Owls are best spotted in the autumn months.
