Woodwalton Fen National Nature Reserve

Woodwalton Fen National Nature Reserve spans 209 hectares and is located west of Ramsey in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire. This biologically rich site is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Ramsar wetland site of international importance, a National Nature Reserve, and a Special Area of Conservation. Managed by Natural England and owned by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, it offers a diverse habitat for various wildlife species. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for species such as Reed Warblers in July and Muntjac deer in January, with peak activity often occurring around 01:00. December is noted for sightings of Plea minutissima and Punctate Corixa, which also peak at this time. Spring visitors may enjoy observing Wrens and Cetti's Warblers in April, making it an excellent time for birdwatching.
