The Hudnalls National Nature Reserve

The Hudnalls National Nature Reserve, spanning 94.4 hectares in Gloucestershire, is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Key Wildlife Site within the Forest of Dean Local Plan Review. This area is part of the Wye Valley Woodlands, recognised as a Special Area of Conservation under the EU Habitats Directive, showcasing a rich diversity of habitats and species. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to observing a range of species throughout the year, with peak activity in May when Wrens and Chaffinches are particularly active. Notable sightings include the Western Honey Bee and Glow-worm in July and June, respectively, both best observed around 01:00.
