Swan Island National Nature Reserve

Swan Island National Nature Reserve is a strict nature reserve located off the northwest coast of the Crimean Peninsula, covering an area of 9,612 hectares. Established in 1949, it serves as a crucial resting and nesting site for migratory birds, particularly during the summer and fall months. The reserve is a sub-unit of the larger Crimean Nature Reserve and is situated in Rozdolne Raion, making it an important ecological area. Notable species include the Mallard, Hooded Crow, and Common Gull, all of which are frequently observed during this time.
