Roydon Common National Nature Reserve

Roydon Common National Nature Reserve is a 194.9-hectare site located east of King's Lynn in Norfolk, England. Recognised as a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest, it is also a Grade I Nature Conservation Review site, a National Nature Reserve, and a Ramsar site. The reserve is part of the Roydon Common and Dersingham Bog Special Area of Conservation and is managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, offering a diverse range of habitats. Wildlife enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of species throughout the year, with peak activity in May when Blue Tits, Chiffchaffs, and Peacocks are most frequently observed. Other notable sightings include Goldfinches in February and Red Kites in October. The best time for viewing is generally around 01:00, making early morning visits particularly rewarding for those eager to experience the rich biodiversity of the reserve.
