Claerwen National Nature Reserve

Claerwen National Nature Reserve, located in Powys, Wales, features the impressive Claerwen reservoir and dam, which were the last additions to the Elan Valley Reservoirs system. Completed in 1952, the dam showcases a late Victorian design and is constructed primarily of concrete with a dressed stone exterior. Wildlife enthusiasts can look for species such as the Barn Owl and Bog-rosemary, with the best time to observe these species being in July around 01:00. Cowberry can also be spotted, particularly in November.
